Autumn Exchange and Updates

Autumn is our 3rd season in the Friends Stitching Through The Seasons exchange. Karen D. has my name and today I received her package. It is gorgeous!

Karen stitched "Scatter Pumpkins" by Shepherds Bush and finished it as a flat-fold. Believe it or not, this is my very first flat-fold. I have never even made one myself it. I absolutely love it!

It is so beautifully stitched and finished. Karen also sent me some very useful goodies.

Alot of my favorite things here, love it all! Especially the purple little gems. I didn't have a purple one yet! LOL!

Thank you Karen!

I have Faye for this same exchange. She received my package last Friday.

I stitched a pumpkin from Prairie Grove Peddler. It turned out very cute.

This pumpkin was so fun to make. The stem is even real! It came from my niece's backyard!

Here is the rest of the exchange I sent Faye.

CaHRH Update...
I continued working my block #9 yesterday and here is my progress.

I just have to finish the church. I should have no problem wrapping up this block next Sunday.

September's Red Stitch...
If you have been reading my blog, you know that I have started knitting. I decided to do my red stitching this month out of knitting.

This is awesome! It keeps your coffee cup warm!

I think that is it for now. Lots on TV tonight. Baseball, football and some new season shows. Great stitching time!

Have a great night!

First Day of Summer

Today, June 21, is the first day of summer. What a perfect day to receive my Friends Stitching Through the Seasons Summer exchange from Karen.

Karen stitched a Shepherds Bush design, Scatter Freedom, and finished it is a small pillow. It is just beautiful.

Karen does beautiful stitching and finishing. She also included some very nice goodies.

She sent a piece of banding with a blue decorative edge, a fat quarter of patriotic fabric, a card of different 4th of July ribbons, a pack of #28 Bohin needles (which I have been wanting to try), some buttons and rusted pins and bells which she made, a skein of Belle Soie silk thread and a very cute wooden stick that has patriotic firecrackers on the top. I love all of it! Thank you Karen!

I have to share something I found at Walmart today. This tin of candies that was just calling out my name and I just had to buy it. The tin is the most gorgeous purple color. I will be looking for that perfect something to stitch for the top of it. It is just too cool.

Thanks for stopping and have a great week!

A Mini Retreat

Joan and I had a mini retreat since her DH was gone fishing for 2 days.

One of the things we wanted to make was a stitcher's lap desk. We did have a pattern and after a few bumps in the road we were successful. Here is a couple of pictures of mine.

The top is magnetic and the bottom is filled with pellets from a bean bag chair--which happen to be pretty weightless! If I were to make another one, I would make it a little smaller I think but I am happy with it. I have been wanting one for some time.

I did stitch "Treat Your Self Well" by La-D-Da, just the words and quite a bit on CaHRH. I will post these later when they are finished.

Today I finished LHN's "Remember Me" which is a special release. This was the new kit for Breast Cancer from Elegant Stitch. It turnedout very cute.

That gorgeous pin came with it also!

Yesterday, I heard from Faye, who is my season exchange partner for the Stitching Friends Through the Seasons blog. Faye loves LHN Designs and the color red.

I stitched a portion of "The Strawberry House" and finished it as a pin pillow. The rest of the exchange had a red/strawberry theme.

Today, I am going to pull some more projects together so they are ready to work. I could get used to this not working thing. LOL!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Happy Stitching!

An Exchange for Spring

I joined a seasonal exchange group called Friends Stitching Through The Seasons and we just completed our Spring Exchange.

I was very excited to get Faye for the year to stitch for. Faye had sent me a wonderful RAK awhile back and this would give me a chance to pay her back.

I stitched a Homespun Elegance design called Delivering Fleurs and finished it as a pin pillow.

Here is a picture of the entire exchange I sent her.

Karen D. has my name and today I received my exchange.

I had mentioned that I would like a Shepherd's Bush design as I don't have as many of them as I would like and Karen answered. She stitched Scatter Kindness and finished it in one of my favorite finishes. It has lots of cute buttons on it and she even put our names, exchange name and the year on the back.

She also sent me the most wonderful goodies that are just perfect for me. A scissors (can't have enough of those), Boysenberry Belle Soie silk thread, which will be perfect for my "pink stitches", the Just Nan Peacock needle slide kit and a peacock pattern. They were all wrapped up in the purple fabric that is in the background and the very colorful ribbon.

This was a very fun exchange and I can't wait until Summer!
