Ornament Swap--Complete

I received an e-mail from Amy the other day letting me know that she received the ornament that I sent her. This is my last ornament to be received for the Ornament Swap that I participated in.

This is "ABC Noel 2007" from L'R de rien. It is stitched on 28ct White-Opal Cashel linen with DMC #115.

I was in such a hurry to get this out, I forgot to take a picture. I had to borrow this one from Amy--Thank you Amy!

This completes my participation in the Ornament Swap.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Ornaments and More Ornaments

I received my last 2 ornaments for the Ornament Swap. On Monday, I received this from Amy.

This is a Shepherds Bush design stitched on 32ct Belfast with GAST. Isn't it lovely? I really like this one. Thank you Amy!

And yesterday, I received my last one, from Carolyn.

This is another Shepherds Bush design from the 1998 JCS ornament issue. It is stitched on 28ct natural linen with GAST. Thank you Carolyn!

And here is my "group" photo.

Aren't they great? I'm really happy with the pine tree theme that I went with.

April is Julianne's month to receive ornaments. She received the one I sent her today.

This is "Peace Angel" by Told In a Garden. It is stitched 32ct Natural Opal Belfast linen with DMC floss and gold metallic as charted. This was a fun stitch and I was pleased with how it turned out.

There is only 2 months left of this ornament swap, May (Amy) and June (Becky). Since we don't have to wait for the month to send our ornaments, I decided to do the last 2 right away. I mailed Amy's and Becky's ornaments today. When they are received I will post pictures and then I will be done with this ornament swap.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for visiting.

Happy Stitching!

Gifts Received

Over the past few weeks I have received several gifts in which I have been negligent in posting. I apologize for not being more timely on these.

First, I received this gorgeous fiber from Michele. Michele sent me some hand-dyed silk called "Winter Berry". It is beautiful. I will have to find something special to stitch with this. Thank you Michele!

Then, I received this beautiful tatted heart ornament from Cathy B. Her mother, who is 76 years young, made it. It is just gorgeous. My grandmother tatted and I do regret to this day not learning this beautiful art from her. Thank you Cathy!

And, today, I received a pattern from AmySC, that I think, was made just for me.

Can't wait to stitch this beauty up. I can use some of the lovely fibers I have received in exchanges. Thank you Amy!

I will be back again soon with exchanges to share.

A Couple of Exchanges to Share

I participated in a Secret Sisters Christmas Exchange that was on the Legacy Board. I had Valeri's name and just heard that she received my package.

I sent Valeri the Holiday box of DMC Floss, a thread counter, a package of needles, thread heaven, a snowman photo holder (which makes a great pattern holder) and a sample of gloves in a bottle. It sounds like she was pleased with it.

Over on the Make A Wish, Amy wished for a smalls done in redwork. I chose to do a biscornu. I stitched the February Heart from "A Prairie Year" by Prairie Schooler. I had to adjust the pattern a little to make room for the button. It is stitched on 28ct. Antique White Lugana with DMC Variations #4210. I was very pleased in how it turned out.

Well, that is all I have for now. I need to go do some serious stitching.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
