It's Finished!

I'm sure you're probably sick of seeing this, but it is done! And I love it! I will be framing this one.

Since tomorrow is October 1, this finish came at a good time. Tomorrow I can set my October goals and start right in on them. I have 3 exchanges to stitch for that are due at the end of October.

Thanks to those that took the time to go over to Corinna's blog and say hi. She does some great work.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

I Have a Kitty!

On my Snapper! Don't anyone get too excited, it is not a real kitty. LOL!

The Kitty is #4 of 5 on The Branch Snapper. I just have one more little part to do. YAY!!!

We have a new blogger. Corinna has finally given in and created a blog. It is called Cup of Stitches. Some of you may know Corinna from the Fair and Square Exchange blog. She has been a member over there for quite awhile and has done some beautiful squares. If you have a minute, please go over to her blog and say hi.

That's all I have tonight. It is about time for bed. Thanks for stopping by.

Progress on The Branch

The past 2 days I continued stitching on The Branch Snapper. I've completed the border and can't do anymore until I get the last 2 patterns.

Pattern #4 is a Kitty and the last pattern is a birdhouse--very cute! I've already called my LNS and they are holding them so I will get them this weekend. I did put the snaps on but I am going to wait to add the buttons. If I frame this, I like to attach my buttons through the foam core also.

I finally got my JCS Christmas Ornament magazine.

I don't understand when you are a subscriber they are out on the stands before you get yours in the mail. Oh well. Glad to have it. Although, I'm not sure I like the new format. You have to handle all the pages now to look at the pictures. :(

Well that's all I have for tonight. Thanks for visiting.

A Productive Day!

For some reason I got up quite early today, like about 4 a.m. But when you get up by 2:30 a.m. for work 5 days a week, you get kind of use to it.

Anyway, I started out working on my Ackworth Friendship Book. I was able to start square 5 and finish it this morning.

One more square and I will be half way done with this project! YAY!!!

I then moved on to "The Branch Snapper". I added Pattern #3 (of 5) and some more border.

I don't have #4 and I don't think #5 is out yet. I will just continue the border until #5 is out and get them both at the same time. My LNS is not so local. It is about a 45 minute drive.

I was looking for a floss tag to use on by Snapper project and couldn't find one. I decided to finish my Halloween fair squares (that I received yesterday in the mail) into one.

I absolutely love how it turned out! Thanks to Karen D. for stitching these for me.

I also assigned partners for 2 exchanges today, too. I don't have to work tomorrow so I feel like I still have time left! LOL!

Have a great start to a new week!

Halloween Fair Squares

Well, this is my 2nd post today, however, I received my Fair Squares for the Halloween Round from Karen. This must be right off the needle as it is from the 2009 Just Cross Stitch Halloween Ornament issue.

It is called "Happy Jack", by Knotted Tree. Aren't they cute? I love the colors in this design. Thank you Karen!

And here are the squares that I sent Karen.

This design is "Snap Happy Halloween" from Bent Creek. It sounds like Karen liked them.

I've stitched a bit more on "The Branch" Snapper. It is coming along quite nicely.

I decided to do the border along with the center design, to keep things aligned correctly. And after having to do a bit of the frog stitch this afternoon, I am glad I decided to do this.

If you look close, there is a little message in the bees nest? Do you see it?

Well tomorrow is Sunday and I am trying to stitch on my Ackworth Friendship Book on Sundays. I'm going to try to get a whole square done and still have time to work on The Branch. I really want to keep going.

Thanks for visiting my blog and thanks to those who leave the great comments. I appreciate it.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Ackworth Friendship Book

As I mentioned before on my blog, a group of 6 of us are stitching the Ackworth Friendship Book. I now have 4 of the 12 squares completed.

I have been working on these only on Sundays, but this last Sunday I was unable to get to it so I made up for it the last 2 nights. These are fun to do.

I also worked on my Snapper today. Here is my progress.

I am finally caught up on my stitching and it feels great to do some stitching for myself.

Hope you had a great day!
