Weekend Stitching

When I got up this past Saturday morning, I decided I was going to stitch something fun for me. After browsing through my stock I decided on this:

This is LHN's Traveling Stitcher. If you are familiar with this, you have noticed that I did not stitch it in the given colors. Of course I had to change it to purple. And a close 2nd favorite color for me is lime greenish--especially with purple. I used all DMC's except the purple, it is a Crescent Color as it was one I had in my stash. Hopefully soon, I will be making my own pouches using these luscious fabbies I received in an exchange last fall with Missy.

I definitely want to use the green, but haven't decided whether to use the dark or light purple.

I am so happy with how this turned out as I was kind of winging it!

Your needle must be smoking! Great job. I'd like to see it in person, but I think the darker purple.

The light purple seems too light against the green & it also looks a bit lighter than the purple thread in the stitching. And I always go towards fabrics anyway...

Lovely job. I like your color changes. I love those beautiful fabrics you recieved. Are they Fairy Frosts?

You did great on the color changes ! I wouldn't dare try :) But I must say you're super quick on this. I'm still waiting for my fabric to arrive in 2 week's time :)

It looks so lovely with the colour changes you made. And you stitched it during the weekend???? OMG, that's what I'd call fast. Maybe I should stay away from the computer a bit more that could make me stitch a bit more, lol.

Oh your version of this is lovely and I really like your choice in fabrics for finishing. I can't wait to see it when it's put together.

Love the colour changes! I am currently stitching mine in the original colours but intend to stitch another in purple too after seeing your piece. Thanks for sharing the colour code!
