In my group of stitching friends, we have been known from time to time to "steal" projects from each other and stitch them up for them as a surprise. This is a very fun thing to do for both sides.
About 6 weeks ago, I spent most of a weekend at my sister's house taking care of her dog. She has 3 boys in hockey and they had 2 tournaments that weekend in 2 different states. She doesn't get much "crafting" time in the winter. I found myself thinking about her birthday that was coming up in February. She is VERY hard to buy for. I decided to go into her crafty room and see what I could find without disturbing anything. Her dog is trained very well as he just sat outside the door of the room and looked at me like what am I doing in there. Anyway, I came across 4 pieces that she had stitched, a couple had been stitched for quite some time. And, right below them I found a pattern for a Hinzeit design. I stopped there and got the heck out.
The pieces that she had stitched, I framed for her. The frame on the "Wine" design, she had bought, which I also took. The frames for the other 3 I had in my stash.
I got a little fancy with this picture. I added this grape button that I had in my stash.
And here is the piece that I stitched for her.
Sorry for the wrinkles. We will have to discuss finishing on this piece. It is long and narrow. If she buys a frame, I will frame it for her.
I will be seeing her tomorrow. I can't wait to see her face. FUN TIMES!!!
Happy Stitching :)
