This was very fun, a little putzy on the finishing but worth it. It said to fill with sawdust, but who has sawdust laying around? I used crushed walnuts.
Keeping with the "red" theme, I started a new project this past week. I probably should have joined that group this year that you just keep starting new projects! Anyway, it is the Bent Creek Red Thread Snappers. A very trustworthy blogger friend and I switched patterns for 1 very large project. I am going to try and do 1 square a week. We will see. Here is my first week.
This should be alot of fun and I can't wait to see it all come together.
That's all I got for now. Have a great Sunday!
Happy Stitching :)

The red thread is one of my favorite cross-stitch projects. I got to about the 5th block and haven't touched it in years. I can't wait to see yours progress.
Winter's Night Drum is such a darling finish, Jill. Sawdust? Not many of us would have access to that--I'm sure the crushed walnuts are a perfect filling :)
Your drum is darling. I love the contrast of the fabric with the red color you chose. I also love your new start and it may motivate me to start it as well. I have wanted to stitch that Bent Creek design for years.
Lovely drum! The colour is beautiful, too! :o) Great start of the Bent Creek design!

Lovely exchange! I have never seen a drum before. x
Jill, this little drum is darling, love the stitching and the finishing - good job.
What a lovely exchange you did! It's just perfect for the Red Exchange!
I love your Bent Creek start, I look forward to watching this one grow. Best wishes.
Your gift to Becky is gorgoeus. Happy Valentines Day.
Well, it may be putzy, but it's beautiful! :) Congrats not only on your perfect drum but also on your stitching progress which is formidable as usual. :)
Happy Valentines.
You have lovely finishes there and the new one is looking good, thanks for sharing, I am new to your blog.

Love it. I have an exchange in May and this may be a wonderful choice. Thx for sharing.
