While stitching this, I realized how much I miss this type of needlework. I really enjoyed this one. I have a few more CA Wells' pieces to do...someday.

Today I received my HoE Stitch Red for your Heart Exchange from Sandra.

She stitched me a very pretty piece by Chantal Jordon de Jura Point de Croix called Ange Coeur (Angel Heart).

She also sent me some great goodies. Fabric, ribbon and needles. These are a great addition to my stash and will be well used. Thank you Sandra!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stitching!

Just For Me

Hello Friends...I hope everyone is having great spring weather like we are here. It has been quite nice.

After I stitched that Hardanger Cloth for Joan, I told myself that I am going to do something for myself next. I decided on a CA Wells piece.

Here is what it looked like earlier today.

Her pieces are so beautiful but it is amazing how much work they are. I spent a good part of the day putting it together.

I am so glad to have this piece done and am very happy with the results. Now I have to "regroup" and decide what to work on next!

So...what about these Gingher Charlene's? It seems there is something peculiar about these. They don't seem to be as readily available as others have. When I got my 4" pair at Joann's, they did not have any of the 8". However, they did have both on-line. Since they were 50% off, I decided I needed an 8" too--besides, they are purple. But by Sunday, the 4" were no longer on-line.

Well, that's all I got for now. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Another Pink Cube

I just finished my second pink cube. Now I have one to send to my friend, Shari, and one for my pink basket. These are so much fun.

My friend, Shari, has been battling breast cancer for almost 2 years now. I am stitching pink items to honor her for her braveness and fighting spirit to kick this thing.

I Did It!

I was one of the lucky people to receive one of those gorgeous cubes of Carol's for the HoE Summer Quaker Exchange. This is what it looks like.

Ever since I got this cube, I have really wanted to make one. Yesterday I got this bright idea to make a "pink" one for my pink basket. After studying it, planning my stitching and going through my stash for materials, this is what I made today.

The wording is "PEACE LOVE AND A CURE/SHARI/THE YEAR 2009". I am soooo happy with how it turned out. My plan was to send this to my friend Shari, which I probably will still do, however, I have to make one for myself too. This was the most fun I have had stitching something in a long time. I just love it!
