Finally!

I have been looking for my overdyed threads for about the last 3 months. Tonight I finally found them.

Awhile back I had "re-organized" my stuff and merged all my overdyes and put them somewhere where they would be accessed easily. However, the problem was I couldn't remember what I put them in. I thought I had put them in a see-through tote and that is what I was looking for.

I have looked all over the house several times and tonight something told me they were in my closet. I have 2 units of drawers inside my closet and never looked in there as it never crossed my mind that they would be in there. Tonight I opened the first large drawer and found this--

ItalicI was and still am very excited!!! Whew!!! I know I will sleep much better tonight.

Isn't it wonderful when this happens? I bet it was like seeing them for the first time. Are you pondering over new projects now? I have looked back through your blog -lovely work, excellent retreat experience (I have the Ackworth book on my to-do list) beautiful and clever beaded needle cases. Irene xx

Could have been me, lol. I love to re-organize my stitching and quilting stuff. but I can be sure that after doing so I can't find anything again, lol.

Don't you hate looking for things? It wastes time you could be stitching! Glad you came across your treasure trove of threads.

Don't you just hate when you can't find something. We think we're so organized sometimes and then we find that we're not. Happens to me all the time. Glad that you finally found them.

I am very good at doing that very same thing. And, it drives me NUTS when I can't find something that I know I put away somewhere "safe" LOL :)

Hi Jill, glad you found your threads, I hate when you cannot find something. Love the scissors you found and truly enjoyed reading about your retreat. What incredible goody bags you all do for each other.
The slippers were truly special!

Now that you have found them, you can stitch the new peacock freebie that I just published on my blog.

It's amazing how easily we can convince ourselves where things are not going to be, isn't it? My mind is usually so reliable on things that I don't even think to look when I am sure it's a place where I didn't put something... That's the trouble with re-organising. I do it a lot, and hate it when I can't find something. Glad you managed to find your threads though :)

Glad you found them, Jill. It's the thrill of finding something new all over again! I had a recent episode (on my blog)with a chart but it never did resurface. Sometimes I feel too organized with my stitching...if there is such a thing and it finds its "own home" from where I thought I put it :)
