A Big Finish

About 1.5 years ago, 6 of us started a group project. We have done several in the past. Some of them take longer than others and some of us get their stitching done much quicker than others. Anyway, this group project is "My Favorite Things Basket" by With My Needle. All but one of us even ordered the very same basket that was used in the pattern. The plan was that we would all get our stitching done and then finished them as a group. Well, Chris had her stitching done first and 3 weeks ago she came with her finished basket. Joan and I both had our stitching done so we decided to go ahead and finish ours this weekend. Uffda! If you are going to do this basket, don't even read the instructions for finishing the basket. If you are a finisher/sewer, just look at the picture and figure out yourself how you need to get from point A to point B--much easier! Yesterday we didn't have as much time as we thought we would, so we only got Joan's done. I went back today for a short time and then brought my stuff home and finished it. I am soooooo happy it is done. Here are the pictures.

The verse around the top says "Jill Ferrell is my name and with my needle I wrought the same". There is a little pincushion attached within the verse and it has 6 pockets. It has 3 other accessories; a needlebook, a scissor fob and a waxer pocket--which we turned into a covered tape measurer.

This picture has the needlebook open and the fob and tape measure turned over from previous picture,

Thank you Joan, for letting me come over and do these together. Sometimes, I mean, most times 2 heads are better than 1 for things like this.
