Where Did January Go?

It's hard to believe it is February 3rd already. January went by so fast. Why is it as we get older, time seems to go by faster? The bright side, is that we are that much closer to winter ending--YAY!

I haven't stitched too much in the last couple of weeks. We are in our busy season at work now so I've been working some overtime. After having 4-1/2 months of reduced hours, it is nice to earn some extra money. I did manage to get a little further on my Hearts Left Behind Sampler.


That border took alot longer than I had thought it would. I'm happy how this is turning out.

I was lucky to win a blogoversary giveaway over on Margaret's blog.


Margaret sent me some beautiful fabric, fibers, magnets and a beaded pink angel. It will all be put to good use and I love it! Thank you Margaret!

Well that's all I have for now. I'm looking forward to the weekend. My good friend, Joan, is on her way home right now for the weekend. Plus, I plan on doing some finishing this weekend.

Blackbird Designs Exchange

I participated in a Blackbird Designs exchange with a group of stitchers and today, Margaret received my exchange.

I stitched "Tulip & Star Pinkeep" on 32ct. Lambswool Lugana with Weeks and Sampler Threads and finished it as a mattress pincushion



Margaret loves gadgets and that is what I got a bunch of for her. Enjoy all your goodies, Margaret!


To My Surprise...
A couple of weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Ellen of With My Needle. She saw my post on May 3, where I shared "My Favorite Things Basket" that I had finished. She asked me if it was okay if she used my basket on her blog. I sent her some pictures and told her the story of how this basket came to be. Today, it is on her blog.
