Today I received my HoE Stitch Red for your Heart Exchange from Sandra.

She stitched me a very pretty piece by Chantal Jordon de Jura Point de Croix called Ange Coeur (Angel Heart).

She also sent me some great goodies. Fabric, ribbon and needles. These are a great addition to my stash and will be well used. Thank you Sandra!

Stitch Red For Your Heart

I participated in an exchange on the Hooked on Exchanging board called Stitch Red For Your Heart. Today I received my exchange from Sheril. It is just wonderful. Sheril made me a pinkeep that is just awesome. If you look close, you will see with needle in hand, she is stitching and has one bead left to put on.

Sheril also included lots of great goodies. Everything is red and most are heart themed. 3 red suckers, a heart themed pencil, 3 red DMC's, a heart stamp, 2 different packs of red beads, a variety of red and red heart buttons and a red magnetic ruler.

Thank you so much, Sheril. I love all of it.
This was a very fun exchange.

HoE Mailart Exchange

This morning I got a message from Nela in Venezuela, that according to the USPS, there was an attempt to deliver my mailart on Monday, 3/16. She also sent me the tracking information so after work I went to the post office and retrieved my package.

OMG! No picture is going to do this piece justice. Nela's work is to die for! For those of you who have been fortunate to receive something from her, you know exactly what I am talking about. Nela mailed it inside another envelope as she has many embellishments on it.

Wait until you see the inside. This was a no goody exchange but Nela didn't listen, LOL! This is just amazing!

There is a fob with a very cool peacock feather charm on it, beads, threads, peacock feathers and a beautiful wooden thread palette with a peacock on it.

Thank you so much, Nela. I love all of it!

Mailart to Laurence

I just heard that Laurence received my exchange for the HoE Mailart Exchange.

The design I stitched was from the September 2008 issue of the Gift of Stitching. It is stitched on banding with DMC Variegated #115.

Here is the front after I took it to the post office.

I have made several different pieces of mailart lately and just love them. This was a fun exchange. Can't wait until I receive mine.

Thank You Lisa V.

Lisa V. had me for both the HoE Lizzie Kate exchange and the Winter All Seasons Ornament Exchange. She didn't give me any specifics of either designs. Today the postman brought both of them. First the Lizzie Kate exchange--

And here is the ASOE Winter ornament--

I love the little cardinal on this one. Thank you Lisa.

I finished my January ornament for the 2009 Christmas Challenge. It is a freebie from Plum Street Samplers called "Emmanuel". It is stitched on 36ct. Light Examplar with DMC Floss.

Lizzie Kate Exchange to Wendy Jo

I just heard from Wendy Jo that she received the HoE Lizzie Kate exchange that I sent her.

Wendy Jo had on her blog that she loves to decorate in Americana theme, so that is what I went with. I stitched Lizzie Kate's "God Bless America on a piece of 25ct. stash remnant with WDW & DMC white floss. I finished it as a pillow/pin cushion/draft catcher? (not sure exactly what to call it) and added a heart charm with the US Flag on it. The amazing thing here is that I SEWED! I ACTUALLY SEWED! I haven't sewed for many, many years as my machine was broke, at least I thought it was. My BFF, MamaJoan's wonderful husband, David, gave it a once over and the diagnosis was that I had the wrong bobbin in it. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Here is a picture of the pin cushion:

Isn't it cute? I was really happy with how it turned out. This was my first finish of this kind. Here is a picture of the entire exchange:

Another very fun exchange to put together.
Enjoy Wendy Jo!

Carol Received My Mattress Pincushion

I found out yesterday that Carol S. received my HoE Mattress Pincushion Exchange.

I stitched the Little House Needleworks "Heart and Home Sampler" on 28ct. Antique White Linen with DMC Floss & Mill Hill Beads.

I went with the "quality" vs. "quantity" on the extras for Carol, I hope she didn't mind. I remember reading all her posts about stitching without a light when they were trying to fix it. So, I decided to get her a "spare" light. My BFF Joan has one just like this and she loves it. I hope Carol likes it too. I also sent her a thread counter.

Enjoy it all, Carol, you are so deserving of it!
