Where Did January Go?

It's hard to believe it is February 3rd already. January went by so fast. Why is it as we get older, time seems to go by faster? The bright side, is that we are that much closer to winter ending--YAY!

I haven't stitched too much in the last couple of weeks. We are in our busy season at work now so I've been working some overtime. After having 4-1/2 months of reduced hours, it is nice to earn some extra money. I did manage to get a little further on my Hearts Left Behind Sampler.

That border took alot longer than I had thought it would. I'm happy how this is turning out.

I was lucky to win a blogoversary giveaway over on Margaret's blog.

Margaret sent me some beautiful fabric, fibers, magnets and a beaded pink angel. It will all be put to good use and I love it! Thank you Margaret!

This Friday, February 5, is National Wear Red Day. Please help raise awareness of Heart Disease. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the U.S. You can go here for more information. Thank you.

Well that's all I have for now. I'm looking forward to the weekend. My good friend, Joan, is on her way home right now for the weekend. Plus, I plan on doing some finishing this weekend.

Have a great rest of the week!

Love the border, but yeah - it does look like a lot of work.

You're making great progress on your sampler. Borders have always been the bane of my existence. I love them but they can be so tedious to do. I guess the best thing is just to forge ahead and not think about it.

Great package from Margaret too!

I love the colors in your wip. And it is looking fabulous. I always think the borders are the most tricky. So you have the hard part all done. :)

Nice progress on the Hester's Needle sampler. I am currently stitching a Hester's needle project, the Family Record sampler, and I sympathize with you on the border! Now that your border is done, the rest will just flow! Look forward to more progress pics...

Very nice progress on your new project. I love borders like this one very one, in fact I love nearly all sampler borders - but I don't like stitching them. I'm always glad when I'm done with them, lol.
