Patriotic Exchange

Well, I am starting to catch up on my stitching a little. I participated in the Friends Through Threads Patriotic Exchange which was due out on June 24. I mailed it this past Monday and Julianne received it today. I thank Julianne for your patience and understanding.

I stitched "Home of the Brave" by Blackbird Designs. It is stitched on 32ct. home-dyed linen, in kind of a brick red color, with DMC #832. I finished it as a quilted wall hanging--my first attempt at one of these. It didn't turn out too bad.

I also sent Julianne a few goodies. Some red pins, a patriotic jingle bell, a eyelet punch kit and a crocheted pouch to put it in. My mom made the pouch (I'm trying to keep her busy).

It sounds like Julianne is very pleased with this exchange and that is good.

Hi Jill,
I'm so sorry sweetie about your Dad. He sounded like an awesome man. I read the story that the paper put out. What a blessing he was for many.
Hugs,
Donna
