Harvest Time for Gaby

I participated in the Harvest Ornament exchange over on the All Seasons Ornament Exchange blog. Gaby was my partner and she finally received my ornament today.

I stitched a design by Erica Michaels called "Autumn Harvest Square". It is stitched on 27ct Northern Cross Natural Linen with Sampler Threads and Weeks Threads. Since there were eyelets in the corner of the design, I put them on the back piece too and attached wire for the hanger.

I hope Gaby liked it. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Just got my latest look at my wife's blog. Wow! So this is what she does when I get a bit grumpy or under the weather. After nearly 20 years of marriage, her stitching or embroidery talents and skills never cease to amaze me. It's awesome! Whether winning state fair top honors and ribbons for her outstanding work to her worldwide stitching exchange projects Jill puts a lot of effort, joy, and love into her works. Our son, Giles, displays her top award winning work[s] in a special place in his room for all who enter can see.
Along with her award winning pieces, Giles has normally displayed her work, especially stitched for him, since he was born. Even his visiting friends, who view his collection, are awed by her beautiful embroidery art of sports related icons etc..
So for you folks who read this posting, Giles and I say that Jill is loved by us immensely and dearly not only as a mother and wife but as a sharing/caring person who shares herself by her stitching endeavors with others.
What more can we say, Jill, but we love you and love what you do. We are a stitcher's family and we are proud of that fact.
With all our love,
Francis & Giles
