Lots To Share!

Recently I joined the Make A Wish Board. This is where you post what kind of stitched item you would like to receive. Someone will take your wish and send it to you within 2 months. Then you in return need to grant someone's wish. And so on, and so on.

My first wish was for a covered tape measure. In the mail today, I received my wish from Becky. It is just gorgeous! She stitched "Swan Quaker Motif" from Primitive Traditions. She stitched it on 40ct. Vintage Pearled Barley, over 1, with DMC Floss. This picture is not going to do this justice. It is simply beautiful. I really love it. Thank you Becky!

Right after I posted my wish, Becky had posted one for an Emery, like the ones Anita has. I took that wish and Becky received her emery last week. It is from "The Fall Collection". This was my first one and I was quite please with how it turned out.

Today I also received my HoE Mattress Pincushion Exchange from Lynn. After reading my blog, Lynn put together kind of a historical exchange based on my likes. Lynn lives 1.5 hours from the Lake District in the UK, which is the home of Beatrix Potter. She just was there on holiday and visited Hilltop Farm, the house where Beatrix lived in the 1800's. She sent me some picture postcards of this house, a postcard and a fridge magnet of Miss Tiggy-winkle (a Hedgehog from Beatrix Potter), a thimble with Beatrix Potter's house on it, a very small but cute Peter Rabbit calendar, a skein of purple variegated floss and of course, the mattress pincushion, which is a peacock design. Lynn says this was just her second one she has done and she did a fantastic job. She stitched over 1 on what looks like 25ct. I love how Lynn pieced all of this together in kind of a history lesson. Nobody needs history lessons more than me! Thanks you so much, Lynn. This is a super exchange!

Thanks again to Lynn and Becky for the great exchanges!
