Freebie Exchange Received and A Blast From the Past

Yesterday I received my HOE Freebie Exchange from Shelleen. It is a La-D-Da design.

She also sent me a towel, some needles, a pad of paper and some silkweavers 28ct. linen.

I am in the middle of preparing for my son's upcoming grad party and while going through stuff this morning looking for photos, I found an old treasure of mine.

Back in 1990, there was a contest in the Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine. It was to design a stitched piece that fit in a small collectibles cabinet from Sudberry House. I collect thimbles and have for many years, so I did a thimble design and took 2nd place! I remember being so excited.

I received this certificate, 10 copies of the magazine and $75.00.

I kind of had forgotten about this, but when I came across it this morning, I thought I would share. I'm sure some of you long-time die-hard stitchers remember this.

Have a great weekend!
