Edgar received my ABC Exchange last Friday. For this exchange we had to stitch something that had the entire alphabet in it. I chose a very old sampler pattern of Margaret & Margaret's and made it into mailart. Here is a picture of the front of it. Be sure to go to Edgar's site too and see it with all the stamps on it.
Edgar is a big fan of Quakers, so I chose to put a Quaker motif on the front. Here is a picture of the back.
Here is a picture of the back with the flap open.
And here is a picture of the entire exchange.
I have wanted to stitch this particular sampler for a very long time and am glad I finally did. Do you know what "rend" means?

That is a great envelope, I’ve always wanted to make one of those :D You did such a nice job!
“rend” means to take apart, tear, split… so the phrase makes sense!
Oh, Jill, the alphabet fabric you used on the inside was so clever! What a really nice exchange you sent!
Just gorgeous Jill! Lovely work!
That's a stunning envelop, Jill!!
It's absolutely gorgeous. Nice job.
Ok, this is too funny~~I was looking through a bunch of mags last night (trying to find the one with the mini sampler patterns) and happened to pull this pattern out and set it aside! I saw your gorgeous mailart on Edgar's blog and didn't put 2 and 2 together till just now!
It's gorgeous Jill, you've done a wonderful job :)
