My First Mailart...

Last week was my sister's birthday so I decided to try my hand at mailart. After I had it all done, I went to buy a birthday card and wouldn't you know, I couldn't find one to fit in it. I had to buy a card and trim it down. I figured that was okay as the card was pretty insignificant to what it's in.

The sister design on the back is a Lizzie Kate and the grapes are by Sweetheart Tree. Half of her house is decorated in grapes, so I thought they were appropriate.

I took it to the post office on her actual birthday so it was stamped with her birthdate.

The picture of it after she received it isn't the greatest but I think you get the picture.

Well done, Jill! I'm sure your sister was tickled to bits with her mail art!

Fabulous job! I've always wondered, do you mail it like that? Or do you slip it in another envelope?

One of these days I'm going to have to try one of these! Looks like so much fun. Does the postal clerk give you a funny look when you go in to mail it?

Wow, Jill. Your sister's mailart is lovely. I'm still not sure I'm adventurous enough for stitching an envelop though :)
