Blackbird Designs Exchange

I participated in a Blackbird Designs exchange with a group of stitchers and today, Margaret received my exchange.

I stitched "Tulip & Star Pinkeep" on 32ct. Lambswool Lugana with Weeks and Sampler Threads and finished it as a mattress pincushion

Margaret loves gadgets and that is what I got a bunch of for her. Enjoy all your goodies, Margaret!

To My Surprise...
A couple of weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Ellen of With My Needle. She saw my post on May 3, where I shared "My Favorite Things Basket" that I had finished. She asked me if it was okay if she used my basket on her blog. I sent her some pictures and told her the story of how this basket came to be. Today, it is on her blog. This is how it is suppose to be, a designer who actually appreciates you for advertising her design(s). Thank you Ellen!

Congrats on the designer post (& thanks for letting us know about her blog too). You did a wonderful job and should be really proud.

And yeah, designers pay attention - that's how it's done.

Your BBD finish is great and so many fun things too. Yes, I agree this is what a designer should do when she finds her designs stitched, finished and displayed for others to see. Makes me want to go buy something from With my Needle right now. CJ ok;-)
